• As required by government every person entering the premises must wear a mask that covers the mouth and nose please. The rest of the PPE regulations remain the same.
• There is no weighbridge at the source, all loads will be invoiced as 34tons regardless.
• Please note, going forward for all Orders: If actual proof of weighbridge tickets are not supplied immediately, Chamotte Holdings will not accept any liability or claims.

To avoid future disappointments, please be aware of the following requirements:  

• Regardless of the size of the order, only side tippers are allowed on site to load;
• Keep to the specified requirements for trucks and drivers;
• Daily inductions are done
• Walkways and Tarpaulins: Please ensure that trucks are fitted with proper walkways to ensure safe covering by tarpaulins;
• Product waste:  When parking your trucks after loading, kindly ensure no spilling of product when covering with the tarpaulins.
• Ensure that your trucks are maintained and serviced on a regular basis. If not, no loading will take place. Please make sure your truck(s) don’t have any defects – see Safety checks document attached.

Flat-bed/bucket trailers will not be allowed to load.

Because the product is microfine, it may clot but will become fine again when wet.
Trucks must be 100% roadworthy to commence with loading. Read attached Site Rules.

Please note that all Tippers need to be weighed in by 23h00 on Thursday to be loaded on Friday and before 23h00 on Friday for loading on Saturday.

Minimum orders:
From time to time, we receive orders less than 34 tons.
Please note that the minimum order is 5 tons (bulk/bags).Must be loaded all at once.

Trucks loading bag orders:
Must be on site by 07:00 on the day of their scheduled booking.
Please note that we rely on our casuals to assist with the loading of the bags. If trucks do not meet the scheduled booking time or cancel on the day, the casuals still require payment.
If the booking at the scheduled time is not met, or if a booking is not cancelled at least 1 day prior to the scheduled booking, a cancellation fee of R2 500.00 per load will be charged.

Loading numbers:
Please ensure that the truck drivers have the loading number on hand by the time arriving on site, as well as the correct loading number.
Lately too many drivers arrive without a loading number, and more than often, the incorrect number which causes unnecessary work to try and resolve who the real client is for that load.

Phokeng

Phokeng will no longer accept “K” numbers to load. Please make use of the correct PO number as given.

Kindly keep to the specified requirements for trucks and drivers;

• Closed Safety shoes;
• Long pants;
• Reflector vests over your shirt;
• Please ensure that your trucks are fitted with proper walkways to ensure safe covering by die tarpaulins. No truck to leave the site without covering the product with a tarpaulin.

URGENT NOTIFICATION

With immediate effect.
Kindly refer to the attached checklist.
Please sent this checklist to all your Transport Contractors as well as own transport clients.
They need to make sure that their trucks meet all the requirements.
No truck will be allowed to enter the site if requirements are not met.

Bulk orders:

1. Standard orders are 34 ton per load. FEL operators load according to this standard (as close as possible).
2. Should a client order tonnages less than 34 ton (for example 25 / 30 ton), when arriving at site the driver should not only present his loading number, but also the total tonnages as ordered to load.
   Weighbridge operators should also ensure to look at the total tonnages allocated to an order.
3. Trucks that can weigh more than 37 ton, TAKE NOTE the Weighbridge has been calibrated NOT to load more than a maximum of 36 ton. The weighbridge will not do a final weight if the total exceeds the specifications allowed.

Bag orders:
Please arrive early morning (07h00) to load bagged orders! This is done manually so it’s very time consuming!!!

1. Bags co-ordinator will update loading schedule via WhatsApp group on a continuous basis for the readiness of orders to agents.
2. Trucks should arrive promptly on time as stipulated on the loading schedule. only Flat-bed Trailers, Bucket Trailers and Tautliner Trailers.
3. Should you miss your timeslot, loading will be moved out to the next available date (which is not necessary the next day).
4. Trucks loading during the first slot, should be at the site by 07:00 and the second slot, by 12:00
5. If your truck is not able to make the scheduled time, please inform your agent in due time (not 5 min before the time).
6. Secure overnight standing place available on site.

After investigation Richards Bay will not be loading 10m3 / 10 Ton Tippers (Back tipping trucks), only Side Tippers. This is to prevent leakage.

NB: Only 34 ton side tipper trucks allowed to load at source

SPRINGS INDUCTION PROCESS:
Please note, as per Health and Safety Regulations we are required to implement an induction process on site.
The attached induction will be done with all Visitor / Contractor / Transporter arriving on site.
In order to speed up the induction process, you are welcome to distribute the attached induction/information form to your drivers before arriving on site, thus ensuring a more sufficient induction process.
We thank you for your cooperation in this regard.
Please note: Extended hours for loading available on prior arrangement.

Truck bins must be washed before coming to site to load (NO CONTAMINATION is allowed). No wash bays available on site.
